The fine print, in plain English
These terms cover every website Pivot Websites builds. If anything here is unclear, call us on 0419 662 101 before you say yes. We'd rather explain it than surprise you.

We may design a concept website for your business before you've agreed to anything. It's free and you're under no obligation. If you don't want it, you owe nothing and we won't publish it.
Concepts are shared on a private link that's hidden from search engines. They can use stand-in photos and draft wording until we have yours.
A website costs $1,000 (AUD), paid up front once you tell us you'd like to go ahead. We start the build for real once payment arrives.
If you'd like more than what's listed below (extra pages, online ordering or payments, custom features), we'll quote it in writing first. You only pay for extras you've agreed to.
Not included unless we agree otherwise: the yearly cost of your domain name, subscriptions to other services (like booking, ordering or payment systems), professional photography, logo design, and writing beyond the website itself.
Your site goes live within two weeks. The clock starts on the day we've received both your payment and your details: logo, photos, your menu or services, your hours, and access to your domain.
If we're waiting on something from you, the clock pauses until it arrives. If we miss the two weeks and it isn't because we were waiting on you, your first month of Pivot Care is free. If you chose Handover, we'll take $150 off instead.
Before launch, you get two rounds of changes. Send us everything you'd like changed in one list each time and we'll make it happen.
After launch, changes are covered by Pivot Care. If you chose Handover, we're happy to quote for changes.
By sending us logos, photos, text or menus, you confirm you own them or have permission to use them. You're responsible for making sure your prices, hours and claims are accurate. We'll always show you the site before it goes live so you can check.
Any stand-in photos we use come from free-licence libraries, and we'll swap them for your own whenever you like.
Once you've paid in full, the website is yours: the design, the code and the content we made for it. Your domain is always registered in your name, not ours.
We may show your site in our portfolio and mention that we built it. If you'd rather we didn't, just tell us.
Pivot Care is $150 a month, charged monthly in advance, with no lock-in contract. It covers:
Bigger work, like new pages, new features or a redesign, is quoted separately.
You can cancel at any time with 30 days' notice. When you do, we'll hand everything over to you for free.
If you'd rather look after the site yourself, or someone else will, we'll hand it over for free. That means the site's files and code, plus help moving it to your own hosting.
After handover, you're responsible for hosting, renewals, updates and keeping the site secure.
Websites rely on services run by other companies, such as hosting, domain registrars, form delivery, booking and payment systems. Their own terms and fees apply. We pick reliable ones and will help when something goes wrong, but we can't control their outages or changes.
We never handle your customers' card details. Online payments go through a provider like Stripe or Square, straight into your own account.
We take care with everything we build. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the issue. We aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits.
Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
We only use your details to talk to you about your website and to do the work. We never sell or share them. Messages sent through our enquiry form are delivered to our inbox by FormSubmit.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you say yes is the one that applies to your project. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales.
